when we lose the young stars in our lives to the streets
all we can do is pray, heavens gotta b a betta place
cause on earth they couldnt see the light
they couldnt unda stand they could do betta away from da corner
they excepted the thought of defeat
even b4 they were defeated
jus cuz they were bound to the laws of the streets
gave up on those thoughts they walked wit since young
which we call dreams and stop'd reachin for degree's
a bullet always causes silence
cuz majority of the time they last restin spot
tends to b da concrete
they boi witnessed the whole scene so...
he vows to avenge his boi's death
then we continue to watch this fucked up cycle
that neva ends
and us as a community
con't to fill up the statistics
why cant this jus b a phase
tha will soon one day fade away
but the lack of affection
in the cribs keeps homes jus as cold
so they lose sight of the right direction
the pusha man becomes dad
the money warms the hands
greed fuels their new dreams
while mom has no grasp
to save her lil man
cuz she didnt stop him from walkin out the crib
the first chance she had
so even tho the sun shines bright over the ghetto
life is still a hard fight
so each nite you look up
remember all the young stars lost to da streets

Toxic Legacy
LIke a 3d scence
the smoke gained speed
swallowing any and every thing
the fighters who survived
now are living on a short life span
only being rewarded with
a promise
that death will be knocking shortly
on a day where passion exceeded hate on our streets
the gov't now went back to regular ways
and turned there heads
to those who we call our heros
a vault rested underneath the towers
no records and no memory of its existance
half a billion dollars was counted
pure gold and silver
within days of its discovery
it was moved with the night as its shield
while millions walked by it never the wiser
send it back to those who it belongs to
our banks
our economy needs it so
unlike those who went to battle with the flames
who walked blind in the smoke
and fought through the rubble for survivors
those who now are forced into early retirement
cant gain medical coverage
cause there is no proof their illnesses were caused by 9-11
the one day that changed our lives
where everyone grew a heart
ask majority if it was to happen again
would u do it the same?
majority i bet would say....
due to the after math of our country
if we knew we'd be treated like this
i wouldve just walked away
(just at the thought of just one of our heros saytin this thanks to our "corrupted" govt should break our hearts)
